"As a child, Ray had always been somewhat of a performer always getting involved in school plays and productions whether it was on stage or being. But his other fascination as such an early age is what we know now as 'the paranormal'.
His passions for the paranormal eventually lead to opportunities such as filming with BBC3 talent department, being asked to appear on The Graham Norton Show (which Ray and his team declined) filming as part of the Vision News paranormal team ‘Vision Paranormal’, previously to this Ray starred in a very minor role in a UK based film as a Russian soldier called Nine Dead Gay Guys, a British comedy by 9 Films starring Stephen Berkoff and Carol Decker. He also went behind the scenes of the Living TV series called Ghost Towns which was filming in Salisbury and was later asked to be a future advisory on a forth coming television episode.
In 2007 a major opportunity came when Ray and the rest of his team, Wayne Punter, Samantha Rees, Andrew Carter and Paul Derrick, were asked to star in a new late night paranormal TV series from ITV West called The Paranormal 5. He is also since become a regular radio show guest on many national and international radio shows and more recently was live in the studio in Los Angeles on The Sheena Metal Experience and he was also live from Monterrey Mexico on local radio and in local press, he has also appeared on various shows on Sky TV such as The Kevin Moore Show.
With profile as a TV Presenter Ray is very much at home in front of the camera he has since worked on many productions, with his recent works which include a joint project with TV Polari, as Presenter and the writer of a production called 'Screamers', with Most Haunted’s demonologist Fred Batt, Live in London TV chat show with more in the pipeline.
Since Ray can remember, he knew there was something different about him that made himself a loner at times. He can recall vividly playing alone, or with his cousin in the cellar of his grandfather's large house. To them it was like a wonderland full of possessions and memorabilia collected over the years and we were talking a man who had served in the Battle of the Somme war.
To his cousin and Ray, the cellar was a magical place where they used to try and contact the spirit world. At such a young age Ray knew that death was not the final curtain, he knew that we just moved on to somewhere we could not be seen but were there. He remembers sitting in front of a mirror with a candle, why this method they did not know, but knew it felt right, calling out to ghosts, did they really think it would work? Well the answer quite simply was yes.
Ray was delighted to be asked to present live on stage at Dudley Castle for Ian Lawman’s Buried Alive Charity Event, in one of the most memorable roles Ray has ever done to date, this won him a band of new fans and follows of his work. Ray entertained the live audience and will soon be seen on the Buried Alive DVD released late summer 2011, to date Ray has worked with many well known names of which some have become close personal friends.
Writing is a passion of Ray which has lead him to have his own bi-monthly column called Ray Jorden Interviews in the UK publication, Ghost Voices Magazine, which Ray has been writing in for over two years since issue One, interviewing people within the paranormal and spiritual fields. His book Ghostly Whispers which is available now from Amazon, is his first collection of interviews some of which have never been seen before from his first two years with the magazine. Ray has now joined the amazing Haunted Magazine as a residential writer, interviewing celebrities about their views and experiences of all things paranormal, supernatural and spiritual, the magazine is stylish, sexy, sassy and very modern in flavour.
With a passion for Radio his journey in to broadcasting started as he started to guest on many UK and International radio shows, eventually being asked to be the UK host alongside an American cast, to host The International Paranormal Radio Show, which lead on to Ray hosting his own radio show with fellow presenter and co star Wayne Punter. The Show called Haunted 911 ran for over two successful years, blending the art of celebrity chat, music, paranormal and comedy, two hours of madness and mayhem, and was certainly a show not to be missed, he can often be heard guesting on many national and international radio shows.
With further projects in the pipeline Ray is sure to be on our screens again in the very near future.
When it was quiet, they used to hear, feel and even see things, sometimes pictures or objects falling down or off walls, this used to frighten Ray, but also in some strange way allure him too in to wanting to know more. Sometimes Ray would be alone in his grandfather's house, he would hear footsteps coming up the stairs from the cellar to the kitchen, he would rush over, open the door but no one was there.
Ray did not think too much about this until years later after his grandmother's death (although the passion was growing), he was too young to go to the funeral but a few weeks later, he recalls he was in the garden at his grandfather’s house with his cousin, sisters and some friends, he looked up at the kitchen and saw his grandmother looking at him with a serene smile on her face as if to say " I’m out of pain now ", (she was ill leading up to her death). Ray told his parents about this experience and it was only Ray’s mother that believed him, (since then has had a few experiences in his own family home)
