Simon Healy - What’s Your New Year hopes and Plans.
Great question, I would have to say that I am looking forward to some new adventures in the New Year ahead with some further books and TV ventures hopefully within the year.
Tim Jones - One that peeps here might want to know would be ...what inspired you to start the paranormal 5?
The Paranormal 5 was actually the TV series from ITV Tim, that my paranormal team at the time called UK5 Paranormal was asked star in, the team was created by myself and four other amazing people, that when brought together, brought different skills for researching the paranormal creating one of the best teams I have ever had the pleasure to be a major part of. The team was also created as a continuation of my original paranormal team Jorden Williams Paranormal and I believe other original members have continued in their own paths of paranormal research.
Corliss Curran - What is your favorite comedy show and why?
Many of you know I adore comedy, but to keep it short as I have so many favorites, I adore shows from Victoria Woods, French and Saunders, shows like Nighty Night and The Royle Family. I like them because they hit the nail in every way, from comedy lines to real life family or life situations. I have so many so forgive me if I won’t name them all as I think I would be here for months.
Simon Healy - what got you interested in the Paranormal and investigating It?
In brief from about the age of five or 6 is where the interest stems from, but more about this can be found on the about me page of this sight, where it goes in to more detail.
Ellie Barker - Where else can you be found on social media?
I can be found on Facebook Ray Jorden Fan Page, also my public Facebook page Ray Jorden and also on Twitter @rayjorden
Carol Lamb - what’s been your most frightening experience.
I have never been frightened more jumpy and spooked is how I would describe it, but there is always a first time. I guess there have been a few experiences I can’t explain such as a knife being thrown across a room in front of around 7 people who were facing the direction of where the knife came from, we could clearly see there was no one there, who could have thrown it!!! That made me a little jumpy.
Tim Jones - out of all the people you know who would be your ultimate paranormal team and why?
Well if I could have my pick of a dream team I would have to say the team from Most Haunted, great established and experienced team, know the field and have a wealth of locations and research to their names, if I have the chance to work with team would be a great opportunity.
Lolly Pop - Who would you most like to work with?
Same as about really the Most Haunted Team, I would like to work with some of my great friends such as Ian Lawman from Living with the Dead, Barry Fitzgerald from GHI, Bobby Marchesso from Conversations with a serial Killer, Gail Porter from Dead Famous, my list is endless but those are a few to say the least
James Brownstone - What are your favorite reality TV shows.
Oooh I love shows like Big Brother, I’m a Celebrity get me out of here, Coach Trip.
Tracey Rice - What music would you choose to be on your list for your desert islands discs.
I think I would choose Wild Horses by Susan Boyle, also Goodbye by the Spice Girls because that reminds me of my two best friends who passed away as it was our song, and I think any kind of cheesy pop would suit me down to the ground.
Simon Healy - You Inspires you In the Paranormal Field?
Great question, I get inspired by so many people such as friends like Ian Lawman, Karl Beattie AND Barry Fitzgerald, their work truly speaks for itself but I also take inspiration from investigators worldwide and those interesting results which really make you think, it could definitely be paranormal.
Lisa Andrews - What kind of films do you like?
I really like comedy which has to be my first love of any kind of film; I quite like a really good well made sci-fi, psychological thriller or good old murder mystery.
Matt S Dady - What is your favorite place to visit?
As in haunted location not really, as I love each and every place I have ever been too, each holds a different experience for me and the same applies when I have revisited a location.
Kate Arnold - Do you have a favorite all time book.
One of the most inspiring books I have read and done so more than once is a book called “Before I say Goodbye” by Ruth Picardie, it’s the true story of a woman living with cancer written by herself, in emails and finished off by her husband as Ruth sadly passed away before book completion. I can’t recommend this book enough, totally inspiring of a personal journey shared.
Tanner Browning - I heard that since The Paranormal 5, you have earned over 500.000 in earning's is this true or just idle gossip?
Now that made me laugh Tanner, all I will say is that I keep private personal earnings private and if I did earn that amount I certainly wouldnt make it public for anyone else to see, so not sure where you heard that from.
Ben foster - Is it true you are writing some cook books.
Yes I am writing a few at the moment, Soul Food and The Urban Kitchen, plus I will be writing one with someone who appeared on channel 4’s Come dine with me TV show.
Matt S Dady - What is your favourite Mens fashion house and female too?
I really like Alexander McQueen, Paul Smith, D &G to name but a few, I am not a stickler for one brand I like to shop around to see what is available on the high street.
Claire williams - What was your experience like being involved in Buried Alive charity event.
Well When Ian first told me he was being buried alive for seven days, I thought are you nuts but the more he went in to details of the event, the more exciting and the more involved I got. Being involved was thrilling, exciting, at times heartbreaking seeing my great friend at an all time low, but I was very lucky to be in daily contact with Ian. I admire the strength of Ian and all I can say is that to me he is super human; I look forward to the next one.
Simon Burton - The radio show you did with Fred Batt and Karl Beattie was so funny, what was it like working with both of them
Another great question, well I had previously hosted a radio show from Fred’s amazing home The Clockhouse, what was supposed to be a two hour show, turned in to the most amazing four hour show, we had such fun with Fred, we were given a grand live tour of his home, which listeners could hear us describe each room we were in and also the history of the house from Fred’s who’s love and tender care for The Clockhouse is totally amazing. Previously to that I had filmed a TV project with Fred called Screamers, which I actually wrote and hopefully one day see the light of day.
Fred has left an open invite for us to come back to The Clockhouse for a repeat show, by this time I was involved in a great Facebook group called Access All Areas Of Paranormal With The Karl & Yvette Team Support Group who’s creator Simon Healy made me an honorary admin, so I though how about doing a show from Fred for the fans of Most Haunted and Simon’s groups and I will try and get Karl to come down to Fred’s to be on the show, and for the first time with Live cameras too, so that is how it happened.
Before the show Fred, Karl, Wayne and I went out and had dinner and it was so much fun, laughing all the time which was a great way to start the night and the show, I adore both Fred and Karl and the banter we had that night and ongoing was simply the best. Two of the nicest guys I know and grateful to call them my friends.
Tracy Rice - Which would you prefer to do TV or radio.
I really like to the buzz of doing live radio, you just never know what will happen and the reactions to questions are natural. I love doing TV it is something I feel very comfortable with although I do get very nervous before I go on, but this soon goes when on air or recording. So either to be honest Tracy I am grateful to be asked to do either.
Joshua Mcevitt - What is your greatest achievement to date.
That’s a hard one to answer if I am honest with you, everything I do, everything I learn, everyone who I have the pleasure to meet and work with to me, is a great achievement, for me it is an on going process.
Gary lock - Where is your hometown.
My hometown is the beaut City of Salisbury in Wiltshire.
Matt S Dady If you had your own TV chat show. Who would be your top 3 guests to interview?
Now that is a tough one I have to say Matt, I think for starters it would be Yvette Fielding, people forget before Most Haunted she was an actress and Presenter many TV programs, so it would be great to talk to her about her long career in TV, and for the rest I really do not mind, its very hard to pin point names as I think everyone has a great story and journey to tell.
Dan Summerton - Where do you like to holiday.
One of my favorite places to go is Los Angeles, I just adore it there and so much to see and do, plus I have some amazing friends there, I also like Nerja in Spain, Paris and Mexico, Texas.
Allison Royston – on hearing you on one of your radio interviews where you were a guest, do you think people see you as a one trick pony?
I think maybe it’s more a case of do I see myself of a one trick pony? I am exploring other avenues of my talent like presenting, further radio work and also writing, but the paranormal will always be and remain a passion of mine in every way, I just feel now it’s time to explore other options.
Jade Pinnell How do you like to relax in your downtime.
When I take time out I like to stay at home, I am quite a homely person then again I like to go out with friends for nights out. I really like cooking, theatre and going to movies and also travel when I get the time to do so. I like to read or just relax listening to music. Sometimes I will take myself off for a spa day which is relaxing and do recommend hot stone therapy.
Woody - Who would you most like to meet (past or present)
I have always been a lover of old hollywood so some of the old movie legends like Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable, James Dean, Jayne Mansfield and people of that golden era of movie stars. In the present I am open to anyone as there is not one particular person I want to meet, grateful to be meeting the people who come in to my life that do.
Matt S Dady A lot of people have their favourite charities that they like to donate to. What are your favourite charities?
I don’t have a favorite charity as such but I have just accepted to be an Ambassador of Second Chance Poundies which is a dog charity and I am delighted to be involved. Other causes I have raised money for is Suicide Awareness, Marie Curie, Macmillan, Naomi House, National Autistic Society, Great Ormond Street to name but a few.
Sonia Carter – If you had the chance to appear on any TV shows, what ones would you choose.
Loving these questions, I would like to appear on Dr Who as its one of my childhood TV shows that now as an adult I am still mesmerized by, shows like Coach Trip, Most Haunted of course, Big Brother, Hole in the Wall, Scream if you know the answer, I’m a celebrity get me out of here, to be honest there are so many I would like if I ever got the chance to do them.
Bobby Calvert - Do you think people’s dreams come true.
I think dreams can come true for some But I also believe they can come true through hard work, positivity and determination to reach your goals.
Laura Cannings – Hi Ray what’s the best advice for wanting to investigate the paranormal.
Always make sure you have permission to investigate the location and to your research in the building, history etc. I would also make sure the people you go with are to be trusted if you ever think about creating your own team, keep clear communication open when on location as anything that happens or witnessed needs to be documented, also make sure you have spares of batteries, pens and paper and if it’s a cold location, hot drinks, snacks and warm clothing and not forgetting a good torch if needed.
Matt S Dady - What is your best style of food?
I like Mexican, Chinese, Italian, some Thai, Tapas, and Spanish and of course English foods are the fav’s but I am willing to try new eating experiences and will give anything ago once.
Will brook – Is it true your cousin was a pop star.
Yes that is true, my cousin John Baxter was in a pop group back in the early 80’s called The Reflex, they had UK hits with The Politics of Dancing and can’t stand the heat. The supported The Police on a world tour, so to cut a long story short, John stayed in Los Angeles where he met his beautiful wife and now he lives in LA, still writing and in music production.
Michelle K - How do you see yourself in five years time?
Hopefully further successful than I am now but the proof would be to ask me in five years time.
Tony wealdon – Will there ever be anymore of The Paranormal 5 TV Series?
I really do not know, series one was in the ratings a success, but sadly but TV budget cuts meant that we got cut sadly from the screens, who knows that is all I can say, I have always hoped we will come back, I think if we do similar format but some new faces, only time will tell I guess.
Joe Swann – Whats your fav paranormal TV shows.
Very easy to answer in and the right order, Most Haunted, GHI, Dead Famous, Conversations of a serial killer and of course The Paranormal 5 are my ultimate fav’s
Tracey Rice - starter or pudding?
Well I have to say both; I like a nice starter to start the meal off something tasty and light and then a nice dessert bringing an amazing meal to a sweet end.
